Secretary Napolitano Announces More Than $1.8 Billion in Fiscal Year 2010 Preparedness Grants

Washington, D.C. - Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced more than $1.8 billion in Fiscal Year 2010 Federal Emergency Management Agency preparedness grants designed to help states, urban areas, tribal governments and non-profit organizations enhance their protection, prevention, response and recovery capabilities for risks associated with potential terrorist attacks and other hazards.

Readout of Secretary Napolitano's Visit to Texas

Laredo, Texas - Secretary Napolitano announced more than $47 million in fiscal year 2010 Operation Stonegarden grants for the Southwest border states. She also met with law enforcement leaders to discuss the Department's efforts to support state, local and tribal law enforcement in protecting communities from cross-border threats.
